Afghan women speak out one year after the Taliban seized power

A year since the Taliban seized control of Afghanistan in August 2021, some Afghan women continue to fight for their basic rights to education and employment. A student, an activist and a former policewoman shared their experiences of adversity since the Taliban kept girls from obtaining secondary education and thousands of women from their jobs.
