Villagers buried alive in deadly landslide in the Philippines triggered by Tropical Storm Nalgae
At least 98 people have been reported killed in flash floods and landslides set off by Tropical Storm Nalgae in the Philippines on October 27, 2022. The southern province of Maguindanao was hit the hardest, accounting for more than half of the deaths, officials said. In the tribal village of Kusiong, residents who mistakenly thought a tsunami was coming headed toward a mountain and ended up buried alive in a mudslide.
