Striking South Korean truckers, government remain at impasse after failed negotiations

Negotiations at a November 30, 2022, meeting between South Korean Transport Ministry officials and representatives of the Cargo Truckers Solidarity Union (CTSU) have failed to yield a deal. Striking truckers defied a November 29 government “start-work” order, with many shaving their heads  at union-organised rallies across the country, pledging to continue their strike.
