Vietnam seizes its largest haul of smuggled African ivory in more than 4 years

Vietnam customs authorities discovered seven tonnes of ivory being smuggled into the country from Angola on March 20, 2023. According to government officials, it was the largest haul of wildlife products seized in the country since October 2018. In February, more than 600kg (1,323lbs) of African ivory items were captured at the city’s Lach Huyen Port.
