'This is the end of my life’: Rescued Pakistan cable car passengers recall 16-hour ordeal

Eight people, including seven children, were rescued from a stranded cable car in Pakistan on August 22, 2023. A cable car line snapped while carrying children to school, leaving it hanging above a ravine. After more than 15 hours of enduring the ordeal, two were rescued by helicopter and the rest were brought down on a zip line as it became too dark to fly. Rescued children appealed to the government for more accessible bridges, roads and schools in the area.
