‘Kawaii’: Japanese food delivery robot debuts on Tokyo streets

Uber Eats Japan launched a food-delivery robot service on March 6, 2024. Partnering with Mitsubishi Electric and robot developer Cartken, the company plans to introduce the service to select areas in the Japanese capital by the end of March. It already offers the same service in two US cities. In Japan, fans are welcoming the convenience as well as the kawaii factor the “cute” robots offer.
