South Korea kicks up a stink about faeces-filled balloons from the North

South Korea accused North Korea on May 29, 2024, of sending a large number of balloons filled with objects, including trash and excrement, across their heavily fortified shared border. The sister of the North’s leader Kim Jong-un released a statement saying the balloons were “sincere presents” to the South. Kim Yo-jong is an important official of the Workers' Party of Korea.
