Chinese EV maker BYD launches its first Southeast Asia factory in Thailand

Chinese electric vehicle maker BYD opened its first factory in Southeast Asia on July 4, 2024, in Thailand. Government subsidies and tax breaks are attracting a wave of investment from Chinese EV makers in the country. BYD’s next target is Europe.
