‘Armed men stormed the train’: Pakistan train hijacking ends with hundreds rescued

Pakistani security forces have stormed a train that was the target of a deadly hijacking by separatist militants on March 11, 2025. The military said its operation the following day killed all 33 attackers and ended a day-long stand-off involving hundreds of hostages in the southwestern province of Balochistan. Separatists seized hundreds of captives and at least 21 hostages died during the ordeal.
