Cambodian shopkeeper stays put as most residents flee violence at border town

Cambodian border towns have largely emptied since clashes between Thailand and Cambodia escalated on December 8, 2025. But while most residents fled their homes, shopkeeper Chheut Eang chose to stay, saying he was still prepared to leave if conditions worsened.
