The Japanese city of Kawasaki hosted the country’s annual spring “Kanamara” fertility festival on April 5, 2026, drawing thousands of tourists and locals. The celebration features a parade featuring a giant pink penis carried down the streets of the city south of the capital Tokyo. Other elements of the festival include phallus-shaped portable shrines and sweets.
