South Korea overtakes US as world’s second-largest cosmetics exporter

K-beauty exports hit US$11.4 billion in 2025, overtaking the US to rank second only to France.

South Korea has taken the spot as the world’s second-largest beauty products exporter, with US$11.4 billion in annual exports in 2025. According to South Korean government data released in May 2026, the country’s cosmetics exports rose 11.8 per cent from a year before. France ranked first with US$24.3 billion.
