Wang Qishan named China’s vice-president

Wang Qishan has been named China’s new vice-president at the annual session of the National People’s Congress in Beijing. Wang is China’s former anti-corruption tsar and a close confidant of Chinese President Xi Jinping. He’s expected to take on a greater role in advising Xi, particularly on handling relations with the US.
