19 killed in Chinese chemical plant blast

An explosion in an industrial park killed 19 people and injured 12 others in southwest China's Sichuan province on Thursday.

The incident occurred around 6:30pm in Yangchun Industrial Park located in Jiangan county. Video showed dark smoke billowing high into the sky as flames raged from the three-storey building for several hours following the explosion.
