Why the US and other Western countries are concerned that Huawei is a spy vehicle for the Chinese government

Huawei’s CFO Sabrina Meng Wanzhou was arrested by Canadian police at the request of the US government. While it is still unclear exactly what accusations she faces, officials in the US and other Western countries have voiced concern the Chinese government could use Huawei’s telecoms equipment to spy on sensitive information.
