People’s Republic of China celebrates 70th anniversary in Beijing with its largest military parade ever

A lavish military parade was held on October 1, 2019, in Beijing to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and Communist Party rule. A parade of troops, tanks and missiles – many seen publicly for the first time – crossed Tiananmen Square and paraded along the capital’s Chang’an Avenue.
