Volunteers help China’s isolated ‘empty nest’ seniors stay amid coronavirus outbreak

After the local government in the northern Chinese municipality of Tianjin ordered a lockdown to curb the spread of coronavirus, senior citizens also known as “empty nesters” were left unable to get daily necessities – until a group of volunteers came to their rescue.
