How China’s longest desert road in Xinjiang was opened up to traffic

The Tarim Desert Highway located in northwestern China’s Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region was originally built for oil transportation in 1995. It has now been turned into a major thoroughfare, providing access for the transportation of goods and tourists.
