China’s PLA frontier soldiers carry out winter patrol in Tibet autonomous region

Frontier troops with China’s People’s Liberation Army have carried out a gruelling four-day patrol in the Tibet autonomous region, designed to strengthen their ability to work in cold plateau conditions and overcome altitude sickness. The mission covered 40km (25 miles) of mountain passes, woods and valleys, according to state media.
