Guangdong rural craftsman revitalises traditional Chinese lion dance costume industry

The lion dance is a traditional Chinese folk dance often performed on special occasions, such as the Lunar New Year. Chen Jinming, a lion dance costume maker, has brought the craft back to life in his hometown in China’s southern Guangdong province. By enlisting the help of fellow villagers, Chen streamlined the costume-making process, revitalising the lion dance costume industry.
