China's Shenzhou 13 launches astronauts on Tiangong space station mission

China’s Shenzhou 13 took off at 12.24am on October 16, 2021, carrying its three-person crew to the Tiangong space station. The country’s second female astronaut, Wang Yaping, 41, joins Zhai Zhigang, 55, and Ye Guangfu, 41, on a mission to assemble the station over the next six months.
