China opens new airport in Shaoguan, south Guangdong province

A new civilian airport in Shaoguan city, in Guangdong province in the south of China, opened for service on November 27, 2021. Shaoguan Danxia Airport is Guangdong’s ninth civil airport and is designed to handle 2 million passengers and 4,000 tonnes (4,400 tons) of cargo and mail a year.
