US confirms diplomatic boycott of 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics

The White House announced on December 6, 2021, that the US will stage a diplomatic boycott of the upcoming Beijing Winter Olympics. White House press secretary Jen Psaki said the Biden administration “will not send any diplomatic or official representation to the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics”. American athletes will participate in the games and have the US government’s full support, Psaki told reporters.
