Fifa World Cup fuels business boom to this Chinese sporting goods hub

Sporting goods factories in the Chinese manufacturing hub of Yiwu have picked up production to meet surging demand for Fifa World Cup-related merchandise. The world’s largest sporting event is just around the corner, sparking a rush on items such as  footballs, jerseys, scarves and decorations. According to the Yiwu Sports and Fitness Products Industry Association, the eastern Chinese city has exported around 70 per cent of Fifa World Cup accessories.
