Beijing denies Manila’s claim that Chinese ships making ‘artificial island’ in South China Sea

The Philippines has claimed that China has been trying to build an artificial island at the disputed Sabina Shoal in the South China Sea. The Philippine coastguard released a video showing crushed coral allegedly dumped in the area by Chinese ships. Beijing has denied the claims as “groundless” and a “pure fabrication”.
