Storm traps over 130 people near Tibetan border with China and Nepal

More than 130 people, including tourists, were trapped in Tibet, near China’s border with Nepal on July 10, 2024. Heavy rain triggered floods and landslides, washing away road links. An evacuation operation was under way as rescuers and tourists had to hike up a mountain to relative safety.
