A large fire erupted at a BYD parking garage in Shenzhen on April 14, 2026. The garage was used as a parking area for test and scrapped vehicles. Flames could be seen stretching across a long section of the building. The Chinese electric vehicle maker later confirmed in a statement that the fire had been put out and no casualties were reported.
