Face masks that help stop the spread of the coronavirus and protect others during the Covid-19 pandemic are proving to be a deadly hazard for animals. Environmental groups are warning about a staggering number of discarded face coverings that have been ending up in wildlife habitats, where they entangle animals including birds and marine creatures.
