Mesmerising ‘rainbow clouds’ seen in southwest China’s Yunnan province

Iridescent clouds, a rare natural phenomenon, were seen in China's southern province of Yunnan on January 4, 2020. The mesmerising scenes have also been spotted in other cities such as Dali and Kunming at various times. Rainbow clouds are caused by the diffraction of sunlight by tiny ice crystals in the clouds.
