Thailand’s ancient royal city of Ayutthaya flooded by tropical storm Dianmu

Thailand’s Klang Pak Kran temple, located on the Southern part of Ayutthaya about 80km (50 miles) north of the capital Bangkok, has been flooded by heavy rains brought by tropical storm Dianmu. Much of the old royal capital was submerged on October 4, 2021, forcing authorities to rush to put up sandbags to try and prevent floodwaters from reaching the ancient ruins and temples.
