Hot spell in Hong Kong causes water shortages at local farms
Hong Kong experienced a record-breaking heatwave in May, with official temperatures hitting highs of up to 37 degrees Celsius. The city also saw the longest-running “very hot” weather warning since the Hong Kong Observatory set up the warning system in 2000.
The hot weather has affected local farms and some reservoirs have seen a dip in water levels or been completely dried up.
