Hong Kong announces fresh relief measures for transport and tourism sectors
Hong Kong’s government has unveiled relief measures targeting logistics and tourism sectors which have been hit by the city’s ongoing anti-government protests and the US-China trade war.
Financial Secretary Paul Chan Mo-po announced a HK$2 billion (US$254 million) package of relief measures, including fuel subsidy and rent reduction, on October 22, 2019. A HK$100 million (US$12.75 million) subsidy scheme for travel agencies was rolled out the day after.
