Hong Kong police fire pepper rounds at protesters opposing national anthem law

Police fired non-lethal pepper-ball rounds to disperse hundreds of protesters in Hong Kong's Central district on May 27, 2020, as lawmakers prepared to debate a contentious national anthem law at the Legislative Council. If passed, the measure would set penalties for insulting and misusing the Chinese national anthem in the city.
