Hong Kong journalist Bao Choy Yuk-ling has appeared in court to face charges of violating a provision in the Road Traffic Ordinance. During the proceedings on November 10, 2020, the prosecution accused the 37-year-old, a freelance producer with local broadcaster RTHK, of making false declarations to gain access to a government database for a documentary examining the police’s handling of the Yuen Long mob attack in 2019.
