Hong Kong opens new toll-free tunnel linking the New Territories and Lantau Island

Hong Kong’s new Tuen Mun-Chek Lap Kok Link connecting the New Territories to north Lantau Island and the Hong Kong International Airport officially opened to the public on December 27, 2020. Authorities hope the tunnel can ease traffic woes and divert rush-hour traffic from the existing Lantau Link.
