No fireworks, few celebrations: 2021 New Year’s Eve in Hong Kong amid coronavirus pandemic

Hong Kong rings in 2021 with its annual New Year fireworks display cancelled and gatherings larger than two people banned. Police have been out in force on streets across the city to curb possible illegal gatherings and to enforce coronavirus-related restrictions.
