Hong Kong’s HK$30 billion (US$3.9 billion) Kai Tak Sports Park was officially opened on March 1, 2025, with a star-studded ceremony. The highly anticipated grand opening follows nearly 20 test runs conducted over the past four months to ensure the venue is ready to smoothly host a plethora of major events from concerts by bands such as Coldplay to sporting tournaments like rugby’s Hong Kong Sevens.
