Hong Kong’s first giant panda twins turn one

Hong Kong’s first giant panda cubs, twins Jia Jia and De De, are celebrating their first birthday on August 15, 2025. Their mother, Ying Ying, made history in August 2024 as the world’s oldest first-time panda mother at the age of 19, sparking excitement across Hong Kong. Ocean Park will mark the twins’ birthday by inviting Hong Kong children born on the same date to join the festivities.
