The challenge involves people trying to free themselves after binding their limbs with the flexible nylon or plastic ties. However, attempts often get more attention when things go wrong. In one recent case in Guangzhou, a man needed to be rescued by local firefighters. They publicised the case in hopes of raising awareness about the risks of such stunts.
