NHL confirms their players will miss Beijing Winter Olympics amid Covid-19 surge

The National Hockey League (NHL) and the NHL Players’ Association have agreed that athletes will not participate in the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing due to Covid-19 concerns. NHL players have not competed at the Olympics since 2014, after a dispute with the International Olympic Committee kept them from attending the 2018 Pyeongchang games.
