Taliban refuses to recognise Afghan women competing in Paris Olympics

A team of three men and three women will represent Afghanistan at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. But the Taliban government, which has barred women from taking part in sports since seizing control of Afghanistan in 2021, has refused to recognise the three female athletes as competitors from the country.
