American climber Alex Honnold says he hopes his successful free solo climb of Taipei 101 on January 25, 2026, will inspire people to use their time meaningfully. Honnold had a predetermined two-hour time slot allocated for his climb, which was streamed live on Netflix, but he reached the top much faster than expected.
