Alibaba’s smart-ordering system can take 34 coffee orders in less than a minute

Alibaba’s global research DAMO Academy unit launched a new “smart ordering” system that lets customers place orders via voice, and make changes or corrections at any time. In a demonstration, the system took an order for a whopping 34 coffees in just 49 seconds - three times faster than a human barista.
