Malaysian police flatten US$1.25 million worth of bitcoin-mining machines with steamroller

Malaysian authorities crushed 5.3 million ringgit (US$1.25 million) worth of bitcoin-mining machines with a steamroller. The devices were seized in crackdowns between February and April 2021. According to police, the raids came after eight crypto miners allegedly stole US$2 million worth of electricity to power the crypto-mining rigs.
