Chinese carmaker Xpeng has launched its latest model that promises the look of a coupe, the space of an SUV and the comfort of a multipurpose vehicle (MPV). The genre-bending P7+ has artificial intelligence (AI) features and is the first Xpeng model without light detection and ranging (Lidar), a dominant technology used in recent years. Instead, the P7+ has a mostly vision-based system that relies on cameras. Automotive journalist Mark Andrews tested the car to see how the “all in one” vehicle lives up to its promises.
