Symbols of hope: thousands of paper doves on show at Washington National Cathedral in US capital

Thousands of paper doves were hung up inside the Washington National Cathedral in the US capital as part of an exhibition that will run until May 2021. The origami doves signify hope and peace. The art installation titled Les Colombes ("The Doves" in French), was created by German artist Michel Pendry and has appeared in several cathedrals around the world over the past six years.
