Israeli diver finds 900-year-old crusader sword in ‘perfect condition’ off Mediterranean coast

The Israel Antiquities Authority has exhibited a 900-year-old sword believed to have belonged to a crusader. The artefact, which went on public display on October 19, 2021, was said to be in perfect condition. Diver Shlomi Katzin came across the iron sword, now encrusted in marine organisms, after it was left exposed by shifting sand on the sea floor.
