Joy as US borders reopen to fully vaccinated visitors after 20 months of Covid-19 restrictions
The United States lifted a travel ban on foreign travellers on November 8, 2021, allowing fully vaccinated visitors from over 30 countries as well as from Mexico and Canada to enter the country. The policy change allowed many families and loved ones to reunite for the first time after more than 20 months of being separated by the travel restrictions. The rules were imposed by former US president Donald Trump in early 2020 to try and slow the spread of Covid-19, and upheld by his successor Joe Biden.
