Ukraine conflict prompts Ikea to suspend operations in Russia as consumers make last-minute buys

Russians have been seen queuing at Ikea stores in Russian cities including St Petersburg for last-minute purchases ahead of the suspension of operations by Ikea in the country. The Swedish furniture retailer joins several other international companies that have decided to suspend commercial operations in the country following the Russian invasion of Ukraine. They include global companies like Apple, H&M, Nike, and Jaguar Land Rover.
