One of the few remaining tramlines still operating in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv

Yelena Sabirova drives one of the few remaining tram routes in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv, as the Russian invasion of the country enters its fourth week. The tram driver of 19 years continues to operate the 8K line on the eastern side of the city. The route is one of the few still running as service on the western side of Kyiv has been suspended to protect against a Russian advance, with half of the city’s population having reportedly fled and the capital transformed into a fortress.
